Improving access to HCC care globally & the importance of HIV co-infection: Research advancing the field

The next webinar in the "Moving from Hepatitis Discovery to Elimination: NIH Research Advancing Hepatitis Elimination" series will be hosted by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and will feature presentations from NCI-supported researchers on improving access to hepatocellular cancer (HCC) diagnosis, treatment, and care. Speakers will discuss liver cancer projects in Taiwan, Vietnam, and Uganda. In addition, speakers will highlight recent developments in our understanding of the relationship between HCC and HIV infection.

-Dr. Jill Koshiol, Senior Investigator, Infections and Immunoepidemiology Branch, National Cancer Institute
-Dr. Doan Dao, Director, Center of Excellence for Liver Disease in Vietnam & Assistant Professor of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
-Dr. Gregory Kirk, Vice Dean for Research and Professor, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine
